Diablo Immortal Farming BUFFED! Patch Notes Breakdown
Strike from the Canopy: What’s Coming to Diablo Immortal
Grab your best gear, because the next Diablo Immortal update is knocking on our door. From a new limited-time event to handy improvements that make chasing loot easier, there’s plenty to sink your teeth into. Below, we walk you through the most important highlights and offer a few tips on how to maximize your gains.
Seeds of Madness Limited-Time Event
The Seeds of Madness event runs from March 13 to March 24 (local server time) and is open to players at Level 30 or above. Completing daily tasks rewards you with a 100% bonus to any XP gained from leveling up your Battle Pass. This is a perfect time to scoop up fast progress on your ranks and unlock extra goodies. If you log in on days 2, 4, and 8 of the event, you’ll snag bonus rewards simply by playing.
Season 37 Battle Pass: Gloomland Rovers
Launching on March 13, the Gloomland Rovers Battle Pass comes with 40 ranks loaded with Crests, Hilts, Legendary Gems, and plenty more. You have until April 10 to climb through each level. As usual, a free track is available for everyone, and an enhanced version unlocks extra cosmetic perks.
Valiant Guardians Returning Events
From March 12 to April 2, you can take part in multiple activities to earn rewards under the Valiant Guardians banner. Here’s the schedule:
- Survivor’s Bane: March 12 – March 19
- Trial of the Hordes: March 19 – March 26
- Fractured Plane: March 26 – April 2
Working through these returning events nets you progress toward powerful loot. If you’ve taken part in these in the past, you’ll feel right at home—except now the rewards aim to help you push even further.
Winds of Fortune Returns
From March 13 to March 20, Winds of Fortune makes a comeback. Activate a special 24-hour buff (once during the event) to receive duplicate drops of gold, XP, legendary items, and more. Keep an eye on your daily caps for items like gems and Battle Pass points—those limits don’t increase, but the doubled drop rate still speeds up your grind.
Use this buff on a day when you plan to play heavily. Remember, once activated, the buff runs its course in real time, so pick your start time wisely.
Balance Changes
Two big tweaks are on the way for specific skills:
- Necromancer: Death Disseminates (Grim Scythe) now has a shorter casting range, and Reaper’s Mark fades if enemies move too far from you.
- Tempest: Coral Shank (Crosswinds) fires Wind Blades in a straight line instead of homing in.
These adjustments fix what some considered overpowered or bugged mechanics, so plan your loadouts accordingly.
Feature Updates
Set Item Drop Changes
It just got a whole lot better to farm green set pieces. All exceptional set items now drop with the maximum number of sockets. That means if you have a 3-attribute item with 2–3 magic affixes, it’ll always include three sockets. Even items you already own will be updated retroactively, so your existing gear might suddenly get an upgrade.
Item Reforge Loadouts
You can now save up to three reforge loadouts for your gear. If you enjoy experimenting with different builds, this small tweak makes changing stats more convenient.
Challenge Dungeon Potions Update
Reviving in a Challenge Dungeon? You’ll now come back with all three potions rather than zero. This small improvement should let you push deeper into endgame content without feeling hamstrung after a rough wipe.
Inferno Difficulty Adjustments
Inferno IV and V are easing up, lowering the Combat Rating required to tackle them. Normal dungeons match the general difficulty bracket, while Challenge dungeons still keep higher requirements. Future updates are planned for Inferno VI, so stay tuned.
Zone Monster Density Changes
If you’re tired of empty spots on your farming routes, good news: Monster density and respawn rates are going up in areas such as Wortham, Frozen Tundra, Realm of Damnation, Mount Zavain, and Stormpoint. More monsters mean more loot and more XP—perfect for your next grinding session.
Spectral Allies Improvements
Spectral Allies should handle dungeons better, letting you summon them in Random Dungeons. This helps you slice through content more easily, especially if you’re queueing alone.
Controller Updates
Additional controller button mappings have been introduced for common dungeon actions. If you prefer playing with a controller, you should see smoother gameplay flow and fewer weird control hiccups.
Diablo Boss Challenge Visibility
You can battle Diablo weekly for powerful items. Now, the quest bar and Codex highlight how many attempts remain, so it’s easier to keep track of your progress.
Apprentice Jeweler Improvements
No more tedious single crafting. You can craft up to 10 Legendary Gems or Eternal Legendary Crests at once now. This is a welcome change for folks who love to stockpile materials before letting it all fly.
UI Changes for Creating a Party
Recruiting party members is simpler. When you want to form a group, you can post a notice in chat, and others can join instantly without you needing to invite them one by one.
Alchemical Powder Stack Update
Your Alchemical Powder stack limit is increasing to 9,999. If you have a hoarder streak, your inventory just got some breathing room.
Final Thoughts
The upcoming patch balances tried-and-true builds, makes set item farming kinder, and packs a ton of extra content into the next few weeks. Whether you’re a new adventurer or a battle-hardened demon slayer, this update adds plenty of reasons to log in, party up, and tear through Sanctuary.
Until then, keep your stash sorted, save any two-socket set pieces (they’ll soon get bumped up to three), and plan your Winds of Fortune buff day. Happy hunting!
