Familiar Expeditions: Now With Bounties!

We're particularly excited about the new Familiar Expeditions, where we can now send our familiars out on bounties. Key highlights include:

Familiars can be sent to complete four bounties daily, earning you extra rewards.
Only one familiar can be dispatched to complete all four bounties per day.
This mechanic is a great way to lighten the daily grind, and helpful for maintaining your regular bounty cadence.

This new feature is available for 60 days, so be sure to make the most of it!

New Events: Red Bags and Phantom Markets

Several new events have been introduced, providing both engaging activities and valuable rewards:

Tong-Shi Renewal

This event is centered around collecting and sending "Red Bags". Rewards include:

Green Items
Legendary Crests

Don’t forget to exchange gifts with clan members and friends to maximize your rewards and also defeat Jingon in either of the mountains to progress.

For those seeking legendary gems, the Phantom Gallery is where you'll want to be. Here’s what you can obtain:

A Beacon which creates portals to Elder Rifts and enables a Rift Guardian encounter.

The Beacon is available for 60 days and the new Rift mechanic can greatly increase your Elder Rift efficiency.

Gem Surge: Unleashing Legendary Potential

The Gem Surge event is attracting significant attention, and it’s easy to understand why. This event presents a golden opportunity to upgrade 5-star gems and other gems by using Polished Jades. There is also a weekly login reward to help progress you through the event.

How to Obtain Polished Jades

Polished Jades are earned through participation in the following activities:

Using Eternal and Legendary Crests in Elder Rifts.
Spending Obols in the Phantom Market.
Spending LRA in the Phantom Gallery.
Claiming weekly login rewards.

Each Legendary or Eternal Legendary Crest used grants 16 event progress points, while every 10 Obols in the Phantom Market and every 10 LRA in the Phantom Gallery gives one point. These rewards are applied retroactively from January 8th, 2025.

Upgrade Costs

The Polished Jades you earn can be used to upgrade your legendary gems from levels two to five stars, as shown below:

Upgrading from 4 to 5 stars: 22 Polished Jades.
Upgrading from 3 to 4 stars: 7 Polished Jades.
Upgrading from 2 to 3 stars: 1 Polished Jade.

A maximum of 22 Polished Jades can be earned during the event. Any remaining Jades will be converted into 500 platinum each at the end of the event.

Strategic Upgrades

Players looking to take two-star gems up to three-star will find this event particularly valuable, using only one Jade to make all needed upgrades.

Stash Tabs vs. Bag Tabs: Clearing the Confusion

Recent discussions surrounding stash tabs versus bag tabs have caused some confusion, so let’s clarify things:

Purchasing options for stash tabs are now available and provide additional space in your stash.
Using the Blizzard Authenticator will grant an additional row in your bag.
These two features are separate and unrelated, which has led to the initial confusion, and prompted Blizzard to remove their blog post on the subject.

Additional stash tabs can be purchased with platinum and will greatly increase the space available to you for equipment storage.
