ECHO has played every single day for 365 days, and he's documented his entire experience here on our pages. So, let's dive into some of the epic moments of the past year, where he has learned, grinded, and won big.
A Beginner's Blunder
We’ve all been there—starting a new game and quickly realizing that there was something we should have done differently! When ECHO started his Raid Shadow Legends journey, he started a brand new account, then learned that he should have used a code to get a free epic champion right off the bat!
Though the thought of starting over was tempting, ECHO committed to his journey—even if he had to start one epic champion behind the curve.
Epic Champions Unlocked
It wasn’t long before ECHO's commitment to gameplay paid off—big time! Take a look at the following highlights:
- After a short while, ECHO pulled his first epic champion for free!
- After pulling a key code from our readers on Twitter, ECHO won 60,000 Tournament Points and another free epic champion, Geomancer, on that same day!

- Finally, on day 180 of gameplay, we saw the release of Scyl of the Drakes!
The Road to Success: A Master Class in RSL
Though it may not look like it, ECHO’s journey has been a master class in grinding through a difficult game! Take a look:
- The game's artificial intelligence is tough, but you can take advantage of a couple of patterns on the low to middle difficulty levels.
- The computer-controlled characters sometimes operate in a "my turn, your turn" mode, where they'll attack and then pause, giving you an opening.
- Your opponents may retreat if you attack during a pause phase, but they won't respond until it's "their turn."
- Opponents may also let themselves be hit by a particular attack or respond to it in the same way for most of a round. You may be able to knock someone down to about 40% energy before they start blocking that attack.
- The Aggression meter works like the various power bars in other fighting games; the more you hit your opponent, the more energy you store up. Normal punches, kicks, and combos (not special moves) work best. Once your meter is full, you'll begin to "shadow," and you'll be able to pull off some extra-special moves.

With all the action going on lately, it’s easy to forget that we just hit the 5-year anniversary of this epic game! In honor of the game’s half decade mark, a new, action-packed update arrived with new game modes and features!
- The new "Soul Merchant" system is now in place for players to trade and use perfect souls to awaken champions.
- And, players now have the option to use the new "Masteries" feature to max out champion capabilities!
